Here are some recent paintings

Both are 11x14 watercolor

It's been a little while since I've lj'ed. Life's been a little hectic.

Oatmeal and Brown Sugar
makes a good breakfast after a banana or two. I like to get my day started nice and warm.

I have been really busy. All is going pretty well as far as painting. Sorry I have slacked on lj :(. I am getting ready for my sister's wedding and am doing a one man show at a coffee shop in Seattle in October. I have been painting as much as I can. Here are a few recent paintings. I will post a few more in the stream.

Thanks,

Andy

Just a blurb
I drove to West Sacramento last night. I saw a stopped train from Seattle that reminded me of being fourteen. I got off the freeway and went to look at it. Some times it feels good to stop going eighty miles an hour for awhile.

Here are some recent art cards
I am just getting the hang of art cards and how to use LJ a little better. Here is a brief bio, too.

My name is Andy Fletcher. A child of the 1970s, I grew up on
RC cola, leaded gas, and smoking sections in California diners. I love the feel of a hundred cars of freight rolling by on the steel rails of America. On a trip to Mexico at fourteen, I bought my first beer and first naked lady magazine on the same block in Ensanada. Since nursery school, nothing has felt as good to me as holding a paintbrush or magic markers, not even doubling down an eleven against a six with a black chip on the table. Oh well, I guess that’s a little about me. I hope you enjoy my work.

reaching out
I enjoy painting and would like to her criticism and know how and if I am ready to take further steps into the art world. As I said, I am happy just painting away and practicing, but I wonder what the world thinks. . .

Apples in Blue Bowl is a recent painting of mine. I have been painting a lot over the last few days. Taking time off for a few months has left me refreshed.

I have only been painting watercolor for about five years. I feel like I am improving.
